What is SSH or shell access? Print

SSH is a secure replacement for telnet, allowing you to have shell access to your EZOSHosting account. SSH is very similar to telnet but protects you by encrypting all communication to and from the server, preventing others from being able to sniff your plain text information.

At EZOSHosting, we never allowed telnet access. All EZOS M accounts (or higher) come with jailed shell access. As a reseller, you can generate accounts with jailed shell access, but we strongly recommend that you know who you give SSH access to.
