How much faster is EZCDN compared with standard internet content distribution? Print

The difference in delivery speeds between EZCDN and standard internet content distribution varies based upon network conditions. The strength of EZCDN lies in its ability to maintain reliable, consistent speed of delivery regardless of external network conditions. When standard Internet delivery is at its slowest, the content delivered over EZCDN will remain virtually unaffected. EZCDN also creates levels of redundancy for content distribution. If a single EZCDN node is out, the content is simply served from another location, thus reducing website outages and improving overall performance.

In the 90s people used to think of the internet as an information highway. To stay with this example, regular internet content delivery happens through freeways, EZCDN can be compared to a tollway. It is not as crowded as a freeway during rush hours and thus brings you home faster.
