How long will it take to transcode format A to format B?

Unfortunately, transcoding does not have set times for changing formats. Things such as resizing of the frames, changing compression types and audio formats all add to this processor intensive process. Most of the time, it will only take ½ the play time, or less to complete the transcoding process. This assumes however that you have correctly picked the appropriate settings (frame rates, ratio video sizes [16:9, 4:3], number of audio channels, etc).
